Very nice touch for a hotel which remembers the glamor of the\nold times. I then proceeded directly to the front desk. No welcome drink was\noffered on check-in, however the process was friendly, smooth and fast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The interior of the lobby is very nice with high\nceiling, Roman-like columns and vintage ceiling lights. What invites you at the\nhotel is also a nice aroma spreading around the whole property. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a reception, porter service and concierge service desk at the main lobby. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"535\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelanddine.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/03-3-1024x535.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3806\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travelanddine.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/03-3-1024x535.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.travelanddine.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/03-3-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.travelanddine.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/03-3-768x401.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Location<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hotel is situated in the KL Sentral area, just\nopposite the railway station. KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) is\nabout an hour drive by taxi. Bukit Bintang area, Petronas Towers or KL\nTower are located just 10 to\n15 minutes by taxi, depending on traffic. A monorail or MRT trains (metro\nsystem) are also a good option to travel within the city, if you do not want to\nspend much time sitting in a cab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the hotel guests there is The Majestic Luxury\nCoach (shuttle service) which operates to the Bukit Bintang area regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Room<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hotel has 300 rooms and suites in two buildings,\nthe Majestic Wing and Tower Wing. My room was located at the Tower Wing. Very\ncomfortable room. Decorated in dark brown and beige, the furniture is modern\nand practical. There is large sofa, king-size bed with plenty of pillows, work\ndesk, and standing clothes hanger. Nespresso coffee machine and a kettle are at\nyour disposal. The large flat TV is wall-mounted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bathroom of the room is a big plus. It is divided\ninto the toilet, forest shower corner and an area with a large bathtub. It has\ntwo wash basins and tv mounted inside the wall. Nice to watch a favourite movie\nfrom the comfort of your bathtub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I stayed on the 8<sup>th<\/sup> floor, and unfortunately there was a bit unpleasant sound coming into the room from the outside event playing loud music during a day. The other night, there was a party outside till almost a midnight, and the sound of the drums was heard and felt inside the room. Advance reservations are therefore essentail here. <em>The Orchid Conservatory<\/em>, the botanical \u201ewonder\u201c &#8211; the only one of this kind in the country. Guests can book this place for up to 15 persons to enjoy an afternoon tea, and intimate lunch or diner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelanddine.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/07-3-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3810\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travelanddine.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/07-3-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.travelanddine.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/07-3-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.travelanddine.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/07-3-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Leisure facilities <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hotel has a swimming pool located on the 4<sup>th<\/sup>\nfloor of the Tower Wing, the gym or Truefitt &amp; Hill \u2013 the gentlemen\u2019s\ngrooming services shop. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Drawing Room located in the Majesty Wing is a\nprivate lounge with colonial nostalgia, and offers typical English traditions\nas Afternoon Tea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cigar Room is an essential experience for cigar\naficionados, and classic and luxurious smoking jackets are provided upon\nrequest. Scotch, American or Japanese whiskies or vintage cocktails can be\nenjoyed here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Screening Room is a private cinema showing classic\nblack &amp; white movies from the 30s and onward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The wi-fi connection is not very stable.
