MARINA BAY SANDS HOTEL

Hotel Chain and Loyalty Program

Hotel complex is a part of Las Vegas Sands Corporations operating hotels & casino complexes in the U.S. and Macao, China. The Sands Rewards Club is its loyalty program.

Hotel lobby

It is necessary to say that Marina Bay Hotel is one of Singapore iconic buildings. Marina Bay Sands has three 55 floors hotel towers. The three towers are connected by a 1 hectare roof terrace, Sands SkyPark. The observation deck provides panoramic views across the bay. Sands SkyPark Observation Deck is located on 57thfloor. The bar at the Observation Deck serves drinks and small bites. Visitors can buy a ticket to the deck which is on top of tower 3 for 23 Singapore Dollars (15 EUR) fee. Hotel guests can visit for free. The huge Infinity swimming pool situated on the building roof, the main attraction of the venue is accessible for hotel guests only.

We arrived to the hotel huge lobby in the afternoon, and were welcomed with the drink. The hotel lobby is that huge I have probably didn’t see the lobby like this before, and it might remind a grand railway station as this overcrowded place is full of hotel guests and hundreds of curious tourists. After waiting for some time we finally got into the front desk for check-in process which was unproblematic. There are all standard hotel services typical for for a five star property there. Soon after, we proceeded to our Premier room.

Lobby has several lounges with live music and restaurants down there too.

Location

Marina Bay Sands is located in the heart of Singapore’s business and entertainment district built on a man-made soil. Singapore Changi international airport is about 30 minutes drive. It is a walking distance to the iconic Merlion fountain statue. There is a large shopping area within the complex with high end fashion brands, theater shows, casino area and many more. Gardens by the Bay, a tropical park with artificial lighted trees are situated just behind the venue. Sampan ride will take the guests in a Chinese wooden boat throughout the canals. Guests can spend days at the Marina Bay Sands complex without seeing anything else from the rest of this fabulous city.

Room

The hotel has more than 2 500 rooms and suites. Our 42sqm Premier room was spacious and comfortable enough with fantastic view from its balcony. A balcony is a real big plus. The décor of the room is modern in grey and dark brown colors. Room is equipped with large comfy beds, work desk with chair, coffee table and chair, large interactive flat TV, minibar, safe deposit and very pleasant bathrobes. The bathroom has a boutique style bath tub, glass shower corner, two wash basins in marble and branded bathroom amenities.

The Premier room guests have an access to the Infinity pool located on the hotel roof, and to the Banyan Tree fitness club. The breakfast as well as other in-room dining is charged for a fairly high price.

Restaurants and food

There are, if I am not mistaken, more than 80 restaurants with many international cuisines, from French to Italian, American, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Halal food and many more. Some of them are internationally awarded, as for example Bread Street Kitchen by Gordon Ramsaywith classic British menus. Or Club 55, a bar lounge reserved exclusively to hotel guests offers stunning views of the city while sipping drinks or cocktails or eating a small bites.

It is not possible to describe all of them as the number of restaurants and bars is inexpressible.

Leisure facilities

The property has an iconic Infinity pool situated on the roof of the building. Only hotel guests have an access to the pool. The Casino is very popular with Asian tourists, and table games as well as slot machines can be played there by hundreds of players. The Banyan Tree Spa offers rejuvenation from the 55thfloor with beautiful views.
